Skinny Margarita Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 oz Blanco tequila
- 1 ½ oz fresh-squeezed lime juice (for lime, we go by the rule: 1 tbsp = ½ oz = ½ lime; so in this case you’ll need 1 ½ limes)
- 1 ½ oz orange juice
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar (adjust to taste; here’s an agave light option)
- Salt and lime wedges for rim
Steps
- Pour some salt on a small plate.
- Wet the edge of the glass using a lime wedge, water, or lime juice.
- Dip the glass in the salt and tilt to coat.
- Shake off any excess.
- Pour all the ingredients (tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave nectar) into a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice and gently shake for about 30 seconds or until the outside feels cold.
- Strain the mixture into the rimmed glass, garnish with a lime wedge, and enjoy immediately.
