Skinny Margarita Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Blanco tequila
  • 1 ½ oz fresh-squeezed lime juice (for lime, we go by the rule: 1 tbsp = ½ oz = ½ lime; so in this case you’ll need 1 ½ limes)
  • 1 ½ oz orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar (adjust to taste; here’s an agave light option)
  • Salt and lime wedges for rim

Steps

  1. Pour some salt on a small plate.
  2. Wet the edge of the glass using a lime wedge, water, or lime juice.
  3. Dip the glass in the salt and tilt to coat.
  4. Shake off any excess.
  5. Pour all the ingredients (tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave nectar) into a cocktail shaker.
  6. Fill the shaker with ice and gently shake for about 30 seconds or until the outside feels cold.
  7. Strain the mixture into the rimmed glass, garnish with a lime wedge, and enjoy immediately.
